What The PT Security Guard Does- Monitor and ensure the security and fire safety of the entire facility.
- Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills when conflict occurs.
- Patrol buildings and grounds of CAMBA programs.
- Examine doors, windows, gates and all fire exits to ensure security per fire regulations.
- Observe and report irregularities such as unusual tenant behavior, trespassers, fire hazards, or unlocked doors.
- Monitor tenants and facility via security camera systems.
- Conduct fire safety patrols and report findings to supervisory personnel.
- Conduct security screenings of all tenants and visitors entering the facility.
- Counsel tenants that violate rules and complete infraction reports as needed.
- Guard against theft of CAMBA property by observing departing employees, visitors and tenants.
- Document property damage, unusual occurrences, and incidents in security logs and incident reports.
- Maintain assigned equipment per shift and sign equipment in/out.
- Provide information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports as required.
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
- 8-hour Pre-Assignment security guard training certificate.
- 16-hour On-the-Job security guard training certificate within 90 days of employment.
- 8 Hour Annual In-Service Course each calendar year.
- New York State Security Guard license; maintain registration during employment.
- Fire guard certification and maintenance throughout employment.
$18.54 hourly
StatusPart-Time (Shift Times 4PM-12AM and 12AM-8AM)
