As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Full-Time in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech, media, or telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while offering outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and employees.

You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to any inquiries or incidents with professionalism. • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to observe for any unusual activity or irregularities.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Work in environments common to technology, media, or telecommunications settings, adapting to varying conditions as required by the site.
• Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and/or vendors in a professional manner while supporting security-related protocols.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to help to deter unauthorized access or undesirable behavior at the location.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
