$55.00/hr - $60.00/hr

Apex Systems is currently hiring for an AWS Cloud Engineer with a top defense technology firm.

  • This role focuses on the Joint Personal Edge Compute Device (JPECD) under the Technology Integration & Support Cooperative (TISC), delivering cloud-based development, integration, sustainment, and support services.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies including AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Formation, CLI)
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), scripting (Bash), and configuration management
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (Key Cloak, AD, PKI)
  • Version control systems:
    Git Lab, Git Hub
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management, firewalls (Forcepoint, Apache Tomcat)
  • Deep understanding of DoD cybersecurity standards (STIGs, SCAP, RMF)
  • Active Sec+ or equivalent IAT Level II Certification
