Pacagen () is a house of brands focused on disrupting consumer industries through biotechnology-backed products built by our in-house research lab. We are actively incubating new technologies in the immune, inflammation, and consumer health spaces. Our first brand helps with allergies to pets and dust that >70K customers use in our second year on the market. Our second brand is launching in the summer of 2026.

We are a venture-funded startup and founded by experienced entrepreneurs who have built and sold nine-figure businesses before. We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated individual to join our efforts in developing technologies that could change consumers’ relationship with allergies and personal health. As a research associate, you’ll work with our team to develop our core technologies and our future products. You will directly work with our scientists to push the frontiers of consumer health. This is a unique opportunity for a risk‑taking researcher who actively enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while taking on larger responsibilities within a fast‑growing organization.

The best candidate for this role has a proven track record for clear communication, proactive problem solving, and a deep sense of ownership over all their endeavors. This role is for someone who actively enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and is keen to take on larger responsibilities as the company grows rapidly.

• Drive discovery and development of consumer‑focused assets, including small molecules and biologics.
• Execute biochemical and cell‑based experiments with rigor and speed, translating data into decisions.
• Perform screening efforts and iterate based on results.
• Participate in laboratory management by stocking supplies and reagents needed for daily laboratory operation.
• Keep up with state‑of‑the‑art research in human health and well‑being management.
• Continuously iterate with the team on results, challenges, and solutions in a growing business landscape.

• MSc or MEng in biology, bioengineering, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields.
• Deep, hands‑on experience in mammalian cell culture and immuno‑assays (ELISA, immunofluorescence, etc.) is a must.
• Experience with computational biology is a plus.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Love to translate scientific insights into real‑world applications.
• Doesn’t take good enough for an answer - constantly trying to improve themselves to help their team win.
• Love staying busy, solving hard problems, and celebrating wins as a team.
