Organization Overview
The new Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC) will be named the “Rockefeller University Clinical Research Center” (RCRC). The University remains committed to its mission of improving the understanding of science for the benefit of humanity through both clinical and basic research in a diverse range of biological and biomedical issues. The outpatient D&TC reflects the evolution in clinical research to outpatient studies.
OverviewReporting to the Clinical Research Officer (CRO), the Participant Engagement and Recruitment Specialist serves as a highly operational and data-driven member of the Diagnostic and Treatment Center (D&TC). Focused on managing the full lifecycle of participant recruitment, including strategy, advertising, data tracking, reporting, and protocol support, the role is also expected to engage in scholarly contributions and quality assurance processes.
ResponsibilitiesPosition duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides recruitment consultations and written plans. Contributes to protocol design, incentives, feasibility, and budget planning.
- Implements recruitment strategies, including managing prescreening calls for volunteers, and places ads.
- Manages data (Clinical Conductor, iRIS, dashboards). Maintains Research Match partnerships. Oversees recruitment databases and dashboards to track enrollment outcomes and performance metrics.
- Serves as co-investigator and manages repository protocol RKO-648.
- Contributes to scholarly reporting and manuscripts. Supports community engagement outreach (i.e., town halls, liaison roles).
- Conducts quality assurance and writes SOPs. Manages recruitment budgets, invoices, and webpages.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- The position requires in-person, onsite presence.
- Must possess strong communication, recruitment planning, and outreach skills.
- Prior experience in data management, database reconciliation, and QA capabilities is required.
- Previous experience with Clinical Conductor, iRIS, and Research Match. Creative skills for advertising and participant-facing materials.
- Must be proficient in computer platforms, including MS Office Suite. Strong technical proficiency and quantitative skills are required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and independent work skills.
- Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with attention to detail, are essential. Initiative and self-motivation are critical.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, healthcare, outreach, or customer service preferred.
- Data entry and analysis experience is highly valued.
- Prior experience in an academic or research institution is strongly preferred.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's goodwill and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
