This role has the primary responsibility for supporting the broader team in achieving the successful sales of gaming, creator and esports products and services, developing partnership proposals, and revenue generation by creating sales opportunities. The Manager will assist across the sales team’s efforts to drive commercial success for some of the world’s largest game developers, creators, and esports properties across SPORTFI V E’s Global Gaming portfolio.
Build and maintain an active pipeline of prospects by using macro and micro market trends, sound product knowledge and deep understanding of brand marketing to drive revenue for SPORTFI V E and our world class client portfolio.
Develop, lead and manage the sales pitch process for your own potential brand partners including proposal development, pitch presentation(s), negotiation of terms and contract completion for key growing clients.
Work with the SPORTFI V E gaming group and our expansive global sales network to manage internal sales processes around partnership sales, rights holder development and management, and gaming strategy.
Manage RFIs/RFPs – working with internal business leaders to ensure deadlines met and best work product is presented.
Monitor all relevant media and trade journals to identify new esports business sector opportunities.
Work with internal stakeholders to support thought leadership for and promotion of SPORTFI V E gaming business unit growth.
Liaise with SPORTFI V E international territories and subsidiary agencies where necessary to work collaboratively on relevant projects.
Work within internal CRM team to manage reporting.
Minimum Qualifications- 3-5+ years of gaming-specific or relevant property and/or agency experience, within sports & entertainment.
- Ideal candidate would have experience with gaming or traditional sports sponsorship sales and possess a strong understanding of rights holder development and management.
- Must be able to demonstrate supporting the generation of revenue with consistent, positive results.
- Possess a working knowledge of partnership marketing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
- Passion for gaming is a plus.
- Strong pipeline development and consistent revenue generation.
- Develops deep knowledge of core clients and total offerings.
- A team player that is proactive, takes initiative, and leads the sales process collaboratively.
- Essential duties are performed onsite at the New York, NY location a minimum of 4 days per week.
- Must have strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Must be deadline driven, organized, and able to multi-task.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 (plus variable compensation including commission)
SPORTFI V E is providing the compensation range it might pay for this position. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
