The Family Security Plan® is looking for a driven Sales Leader who can close business, mentor a team, and raise the bar for performance.
This is not a desk job. You’ll be in the field, in branches, and on the phone, meeting with credit union members and helping them protect their financial future with insurance solutions. At the same time, you’ll coach and develop sales representatives to reach their full potential.

What You'll Do Close Business & Drive Revenue- Engage directly with credit union members in branches, at Select Employer Groups (SEGs), and by phone.
- Present and sell Life, Disability Income, Critical Illness, and Accident insurance solutions.
- Identify member needs and confidently recommend the right coverage.
- Consistently meet or exceed aggressive sales goals while maintaining high-quality applications.
- Be a player-coach who leads by example with strong personal production.
- Mentor and coach representatives to sharpen their sales skills and confidence.
- Provide proven sales techniques and strategies that help your team win.
- Support recruiting and interviewing of new sales talent, including conducting Lobby Day sales evaluations.
- Develop strong relationships with credit union leadership, staff, and SEG partners.
- Participate in regional sales meetings and help drive strategies that improve team performance.
- Act as a trusted resource for your team when challenges arise.
- Ensure all sales are accurately submitted and recorded in the CRM system.
- Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting standards.
- Submit activity logs and maintain communication with regional leadership.

- 3–5 years of successful sales experience (insurance sales strongly preferred)
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or coaching experience
- Active Life & Health Insurance License
- Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Ability to travel between credit union branch locations
- Bachelor’s degree
- Coaching or leadership certifications
- Strong closing and relationship-building abilities
- Leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Time management and organizational discipline
- Comfort using CRM systems and digital tools
- Positive, resilient, and professional attitude
This position is based in New York City and requires the ability to travel independently between branch locations on a frequent, as needed basis.
