The Wholesale Manger is responsible for the overall management of their Wholesale accounts and new business acquisition. This position works closely with the Vice President of Wholesale and cross-functional teams to ensure profitability, operational efficiency, and growth of each account.
Responsibilities:- Manage and cultivate wholesale partnerships, overseeing brand alignment with client needs while strategically growing wholesale distribution across domestic and international markets
- Collaborate with VP in analyzing global territory, creating a strategic action plan of new client acquisition with premier, designer accounts
- Provide product insight through weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales analysis to identify growth opportunities through recuts and reorders
- Schedule NY market four times a year, managing calendar and client order intake from start to finish to meet and exceed seasonal sales targets
- Partner with VP and Planning Team to analyze sales numbers and stock levels, executing swaps, reorders, and RTVs to ensure profitable business for each account
- Manage junior sales team in planning and attending in-store training events, enhancing brand presence, driving sell-thru, leading internal operations and supporting store teams’ requests
- Work with sales team in evaluating brand’s digital presence across partner accounts, ensuring all product and marketing initiatives maintain brand standards
- Work closely with production and planning team on timely deliveries, evaluating issues that may impact orders
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on seasonal COOP, balancing brand alignment with client needs across all wholesale marketing channels
- Team up with VP in managing DSA program, providing sales goals, weekly sales updates, training tools, and support to meet monthly and seasonal goals
- Inspire and educate Sales team with innovative industry ideas, mentorship, and concise feedback to enhance effectiveness and professional growth
- Foster communication and collaboration across teams
- Bachelors’ degree required
- 6+ years of wholesale sales experience, with an emphasis on major department stores and image specialty accounts
- Proven experience in the luxury market, with a love of product
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation expertise
- Passion for leadership and teambuilding
- Highly motivated, organized and ability to problem solve
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy on all tasks
- Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Systems knowledge of Blue Cherry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to travel ~20% of the time/flexibility of schedule
The base salary for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience and location.
