Location: New York
A leading real estate investment firm is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join its Acquisitions team in New York City. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys sales, is comfortable on the phone, and wants to break into commercial real estate.
The firm manages $6B+ in assets, acquires $500M+ annually, and owns 5,000+ properties nationwide. It is backed by a larger parent company with $90B+ in assets. The team focuses on acquiring ground leases for existing telecom infrastructure, including cell towers, cell sites, and billboards.
What You’ll Do:- Make 75–100 outbound calls per day to property owners
- Build rapport and identify potential sellers
- Qualify leads by gathering basic property and ownership information
- Schedule meetings for the Acquisitions team
- Track calls, follow-ups, and outcomes in a CRM
- Work closely with the Acquisitions team to support active deals
- Someone with cold calling, inside sales, or outbound phone experience
- A self-starter who’s comfortable speaking with people throughout the day
- Someone interested in commercial real estate and acquisitions, even if new to the industry
- An early-career professional looking for a clear growth path
This role is designed to grow into a Junior Acquisitions Associate position and, over time, a VP of Acquisitions.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in cold calling, sales, or lead generation (real estate experience is a plus, not required)
- Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
- Goal-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in-office 5 days per week in NYC
- Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Word/Excel
- Competitive hourly base plus bonus tied to closed deals
