Business Development Lead

Near is a startup focused on bridging the gap between remote Latin American talent and companies hiring in the US and abroad. Our team spans 20+ members across four different countries. We've landed numerous great customers and have helped hundreds of people from Lat Am improve their lives and wallets with jobs at US companies.

We're looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Lead who is autonomous, creative, and enterprising to join our team.

• Attend industry conferences and in-person events.
• Proactively start conversations with senior decision-makers.
• Build relationships and turn real-world interactions into qualified prospects.
• Follow up post-event and hand off warm leads to sales.
• Become the face of our company in one vertical.

• Based in NYC.
• Proven experience doing business development at conferences or live events.
• Deep exposure to one primary industry (Healthcare, Technology, Finance & Accounting, or PE/VC).
• Comfortable speaking with CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, and Directors.
• Strong executive presence, social confidence, and high emotional intelligence.
• Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build rapport in face-to-face settings.

• Existing network in the target industry.

• Travel-heavy role (conferences and events, mainly around NYC but no exclusively).
• Results measured by qualified introductions and pipeline generated.
