New York City Roll & Hill is seeking a detail-oriented Quotation & Order Specialist to connect business partners with internal teams to join our New York City based sales team.
Quote Development & Order Management
- Prepare detailed, accurate quotations for lighting distributors, FFE Procurement partners, and wholesale showrooms for lighting and furniture projects based on architectural specifications, project documents, and technical requirements.
- Review and interpret client materials, including schedules, floor plans, specifications, and scope documents, to determine appropriate product solutions in collaboration with sales leadership.
- Apply pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability while adhering to company guidelines and partner agreements.
- Process and track orders from quote acceptance through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy at each stage.
- Serve as primary contact for contract clients, lighting representatives, and wholesale partners throughout the quotation and order process.
- Proactively obtain project-specific information, certifications, technical data, and approvals needed to advance projects.
- Provide responsive technical support and product guidance to address customer questions and requirements.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication that builds trust and supports long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless order execution and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with sales leadership to align on quote strategies, special pricing, and project priorities.
- Maintain organized records of quotes, orders, correspondence, project documentation and sales pipeline.
- Stay current on product specifications, pricing updates, lead times, and company processes to deliver informed service.
- Document and track incoming project inquiries and quote requests in CRM systems.
- Follow up on outstanding quotes to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Provide the sales team with updates on quote status, customer feedback, and project timelines.
- You have a meticulous attention to detail, and excel at both written and verbal communication
- Delivering accurate, timely quotes that help secure projects and satisfy customer expectations
- You have a thorough working knowledge of reading lighting schedules.
- Building strong working relationships with external partners and internal teams through reliable communication
- Contributing to smooth project execution by proactively addressing requirements, potential obstacles, and working with internal stakeholders to navigate challenges.
- Supporting revenue growth through attention to detail, follow-through, and excellent customer service.
- 3 - 5 years in a quotations role, lighting industry preferred in a B2B environment
- 2 - 3 years in a customer service-related role, with a preference for the lighting industry in a B2B environment.
- Associate degree in a technical or business-related field
- Net Suite or similar CRM tool familiarity.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and practices
- Microsoft Office proficiency, Google Suite proficiency
