The Role: Barrel is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead sales. In this role, you ll directly contribute to our agency s expansion by identifying and securing new business opportunities with CPG brands, building strong client relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with exceptional interpersonal skills. Someone who thrives on building meaningful connections, navigating sales cycles, and generating revenue.
This high-visibility position offers significant growth and direct collaboration with leadership and teams across our organization.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with CPG brands, build relationships with potential clients, and drive overall business growth.
- Pitch prospective clients, lead presentations, and close those brands as efficiently as possible.
- Meet and exceed sales expectations quarter-over-quarter.
- Manage end-to-end sales cycles to achieve revenue objectives.
- Follow up with leads in a timely manner and stay on top of all prospects in pipeline.
- Attend industry conferences and events to build relationships, stay ahead of CPG industry trends, and identify new partnership and business development opportunities.
- Building relationships and closing deals. You thrive on identifying opportunities, doing discovery, pitching value, and turning prospects into long-term partners.
- Owning your pipeline, experimenting with outreach strategies, and continuously optimizing the sales process.
- Meeting (and exceeding) goals. You’re motivated by targets and take pride in consistently hitting your numbers and pushing performance to the next level.
- 3-6 years experience working for a B2B SaaS company or digital agency in sales or growth.
- Based in NYC. While we are a remote first company, many of our prospects are in NYC so we want someone in the market.
- Consistent experience exceeding sales quotas quarter-over-quarter.
- You are a self-starter with a bias toward action who thrives in fast-paced, autonomous environment.
- You are focused on results and outcome.
- Experience working directly with CPG or other ecommerce brands.
- Experience selling to marketing departments in large, complex organizations.
- $100-$125k base salary, based on experience.
- Performance-based commission.
