VP Business Development and Marketing: for fashion designer apparel company focusing on executive and professional women and women who want quiet luxury. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who has strong connections into this market and who wants to meet and help more women. This requires strong connections, Business development skills and Marketing expertise for our target market with Eblast and social media campaigns.

Apparel and Retail are not required. Community relations, non profit Marketing and sales are desirable. We Sell Direct to the Consumer, so this is a great way to cultivate and work with very accomplished women who appreciate quality fabric and timeless style and want to be successful. This is for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, and has a desire to succeed with a growing company.

This does require a sense of style. The studio is in mid town New York

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for building the awareness of the brand in the community and therefore the client base through marketing, planning events, reaching out to the large corporations and professional firms to introduce the collection. The Director will be responsible for internet sales nationally, will sell and establish relationships with the clients. They will effectively hire, lead, and develop the sales and operations of the company to consistently meet and/or exceed sales plans.

Lead the development of a strategic approach for the company to drive sales. Act as the brand ambassador in the community by building relationships with businesses, organizations, clubs and non‑profits for client development and special events. Execute superior customer service and clienteling on a consistent basis to increase and retain customer loyalty.

The Ideal candidate is a team leader with an entrepreneurial mentality who has a strong sense of style and wants to help women succeed in their careers. Strong business development, marketing, sales & relationship skills are required. Organizational skills are a must.

Qualifications

Sales and Marketing management and experience with website and internet sales; event planning with non‑profit and charities a plus. Fashion is not a requirement. Can be Corporate, non‑profit, community activities. Proven track record in business development, sales budgeting, sales generation, social media and internet sales, managing the achievement of sales results and profitability targets. Ability to develop new opportunities and maintain client relationships.

Must have a College Degree. Opportunity for significant income (salary and commission) and clothing allowance included. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Shopify, Website Design.
