Location: New York

Business Development Manager – Intelligence Unit

A global leader in the economic, political, and industry analysis sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Americas region. The role offers the opportunity to sell high‑value research, data, and advisory solutions to a diverse client base spanning financial services, corporate enterprises, government, consulting, and professional services.

Responsibilities
  • Generate net‑new business across a portfolio of accounts, including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and close
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through proactive outreach, including cold calling and marketing‑led follow‑up
  • Identify client challenges and map them to the appropriate solutions
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and contribute new growth ideas
  • Achieve and exceed KPIs, sales quotas, and activity expectations
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales support, marketing, and product teams
  • Continually deepen your understanding of product offerings, industry trends, and client needs
Qualifications
  • Proven hunter with experience cold calling and winning new business
  • Strong achievement record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Able to simplify complex concepts for senior‑level buyers
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑moving environment
  • Creative problem‑solver and proactive self‑starter
  • Industry experience is a plus, but strong sales skills are the priority
Compensation
  • Base salary: $92,000 – $115,000 per year
  • Commission: Approx. $75,000 on‑target (plus ~20% accelerator potential)
