Overview

Smart Works is looking for a Sales Manager who is an energetic and highly motivated team player to join our growing Sales organization. The candidate will work with distributors of AMI related products in the utility market, serving municipal and cooperative utilities and directly with investor owned (IOU’s) utilities across North America.

The ideal candidate will pursue opportunities in meters, data management, load settlement, advanced device management and customer portal within the Utilities market (including municipal, cooperative and IOU utilities) across water, electric and gas sectors.

The role requires representing our company with honesty and integrity, building strong relationships with utilities and partners, and recruiting channel partners to generate new leads and opportunities.

You will be responsible for presenting our enterprise software solution and generating and nurturing new opportunities directly with utilities and via our partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Present and position the enterprise software solution to utilities and partners.
  • Generate and nurture new opportunities directly with utilities and through the partner ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain relationships with utilities and channel partners; recruit new channel partners to expand leads and opportunities.
  • Pursue opportunities related to Meter Data Management, Load Settlement, Advanced Device Management and Customer Portal in the Utilities market (municipal, cooperative and IOU utilities).
Qualifications
  • Experience in selling to utilities or in the utilities market (water, electric, gas) is preferred.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, and a strong team player with the ability to work with distributors and partners.
  • Ability to present complex software solutions to enterprise customers and navigate partner ecosystems.
