About the RoleThe Sales team at Candid Health is entering an exciting new phase of expansion following our Series C fundraise. As we move into new markets and scale our operations, we are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to be at the forefront of this growth. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact our expansion by building a robust top‑of‑funnel pipeline for our Account Executive team through strategic and highly targeted outbound efforts.
At this stage, you will not only execute on our go‑to‑market strategy but also help shape it.
- Own the Outbound Strategy: develop and execute a strategic outbound plan to build a pipeline of new customers across various new markets, crafting targeted messaging for cold calls, emails, and meetings with physician organizations, MSOs, and PE‑backed roll‑ups.
- Generate and Qualify Leads: use a mix of prospecting tools and your own research to identify and qualify key decision‑makers and target companies, heavily involving the initial discovery and qualification phase of the sales process.
- Optimize the Sales Playbook: help build and refine the sales playbook for current and future sellers, developing best practices to scale our sales efforts.
- Partner for Success: work closely with Account Executives to seamlessly hand off highly qualified leads that translate into new business.
- Leverage Data: use Salesforce and other sales automation tools to track and report on key sales metrics, managing and prioritizing your pipeline with accurate records.
- Be a Market Expert: stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs in new markets, continuously educating yourself on Candid's evolving products and value proposition.

Experience:
1‑2 years of metrics‑driven sales, outreach, and/or customer service environments (with cross‑selling or sales components). - Experience as a BDR is a plus, but not required.
- Previous sales internship experience can be substituted for professional experience; recent graduates with sales internship experience are encouraged to apply even if they are under the total years of experience listed above.
- A Confident Communicator: comfortable and confident making cold calls and having strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Disciplined and Resourceful: exemplify organization, discipline, and resourcefulness, managing time and prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive and Curious: constantly look for ways to improve your own performance and the overall sales strategy, thriving on solving complex problems and finding new opportunities.
In‑person culture in New York City, Denver, CO, and Atlanta, GA. Weekly schedule: 4 days in‑office and 1 day remote.
Pay TransparencyEstimated starting annual base salary: $65,000 with uncapped variable compensation estimated at $60,000. Total on‑target earnings (OTE) estimated at $125,000. Salary may vary based on skills, experience, interview performance, and market data. Compensation may also include equity, sales incentives, and employee benefits.
