Position OverviewReporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting clients and cultivating relationships. Using previous experience in the hotel sales arena, the Sales Manager is directly responsible for developing Business Travel, Group Events, and Travel Industry business to meet revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities- Through the usual functions (sales presentations, prospecting, sales calls, site inspections, client entertainment and business travel) the Sales Manager is responsible for developing business and meeting revenue goals. The candidate should smell new opportunities and respond with authenticity and professionalism.
- The Sales Manager stays cool under pressure and specializes in problem solving. As a titan of the industry, they are involved in networking organizations and a proud representative of Virgin Hotels. They maintain relationships and keep a finger on the pulse of supply, demand and market fluctuations.
- They prepare constantly evolving quarterly action plans and target accounts. The Sales Manager follows the sales & catering guidelines to book the highest quality business, cultivates reports and adheres to rules and standards. Timely responses to clients and proactive communication within the hotel are must‑haves and using “us”, “we” and “our” is key to success.
- The Sales Manager embraces learning, developing professional selling skills through Virgin Hotels’ organized training programs and weekly refreshers.
- The Sales Manager’s main role is bringing in business; customer relations must be a priority. We believe live is better than scripted and are looking for those who love hotel sales. To be considered, the candidate must be a self‑motivated, organized rock star who thinks differently.
Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships across the group. Collaborative approach with all departments, particularly food & beverage and sales & marketing and events team.

- Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
- Previous hospitality experience—hotels, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, or other event spaces.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of previous sales and supervisory experience.
- Clear and pleasant communication in English with clients, guests, vendors, teammates/management, in person, in writing and on the telephone.
- Proficient in Teams, MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
