We are seeking a full-time experienced Sales Manager to lead our growing sales team. This is an in-office role based in Brooklyn, NY, and the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, managing the sales team, and driving new business growth.

About the Role:

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for both sales team leadership and direct revenue generation. You will oversee our remote sales team, ensuring they are effectively matching top-tier sales professionals with companies looking to hire. Additionally, you will spearhead all new business acquisition efforts, identifying and closing new client opportunities for our marketplace.

This role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader who is equally comfortable managing a team and personally engaging in outbound prospecting and deal-closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, mentor, and support the remote sales team, providing ongoing coaching and direction.
  • Develop training materials and optimize the sales playbook.
  • Monitor sales KPIs, ensuring team members meet or exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define scalable sales strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing and Customer Success to improve lead nurturing and conversion.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Marketing to define and iterate on our ideal customer profile and value proposition.
  • New Business Development
  • Own and drive new client acquisition efforts for the platform.
  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies (cold outreach, networking, etc.).
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers at potential client companies.
  • Conduct product demos, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Track and report on pipeline progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Client & Account Management
  • Work closely with existing clients to expand their hiring on the platform.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and account expansion.
  • Ensure an excellent client experience by proactively addressing challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Advocate team to ensure client needs align with available talent.

About You:

  • You’re both a leader and a closer. You can coach and manage a team, but you also love rolling up your sleeves and personally driving revenue.
  • You have a successful record with outbound prospecting and pipeline development.
  • You understand remote hiring and sales team dynamics. Experience with staffing, SaaS, and/or marketplaces is a plus.
  • You’re highly organized and data-driven. You know how to forecast sales, track KPIs, and improve sales processes.
  • You’re an excellent communicator. You can build relationships, present confidently, and negotiate deals effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience (SaaS, marketplaces/staffing, or B2B preferred)
  • Track record of closing deals and leading successful sales teams
  • Experience with prospecting, outbound sales, and pipeline management
  • Strong proficiency in CRM tools and sales automation software
