Essential Plan Account Manager – Field Based – Rockland and Westchester, NY Counties
Join United Healthcare to simplify the health‑care experience and build healthier communities. As an Essential Plan Account Manager, you will establish and cultivate strategic relationships with key sales and market influencers across New York.
Primary Responsibilities
- Enroll eligible members into United Health’s Essential Plan, Medicaid Managed Care, and Child Health Plus.
- Retail existing membership at key accounts such as provider offices, community‑based organizations, and housing.
- Present plan information to providers, business advocates, and prospective members, and close sales while serving as the primary point of contact for enrollment experience.
- Meet or exceed sales and enrollment expectations within the assigned territory.
- Conduct product information presentations in multiple settings.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Track and measure sales event effectiveness, leads, appointments, and relationship progress through internal systems.
- Provide input, support, and feedback on promotional opportunities, benefits, and related issues.
- Stay informed on UHC operations, provider network, premiums, member services, claims, and provide accurate information to partners and members.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of B2B or B2C direct marketing, outside sales, or community outreach experience.
- Ability to travel locally up to 100% of the time within the assigned territory; occasional nights and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving history, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance or access to public transportation.
- Reside within a commutable distance of Rockland or Westchester counties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Health & Accident Insurance license or willingness to obtain a state health/life insurance license within 30 days of hire.
- Experience with the New York State health marketplace.
- All remote employees must adhere to United Health Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

- Hourly pay ranging from $23.41 to $41.83, plus a competitive salary for full‑time positions.
