Overview
Account Executive –
Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI)
Responsible for generating new business and meeting sales goals to achieve maximum profitability and account penetration within the assigned sales territory. The role targets packaging solutions for new and existing accounts by leveraging BCI’s enterprise resources throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities- Generate new business and meet or exceed sales goals.
- Determine product specifications, quotes, and pricing and prepare weekly/monthly activity reports.
- Compile and analyze prospective customer information to develop a prospect list.
- Use company project management & customer engagement software (PORT, ZOHO).
- Make sales calls and give presentations to prospective customers.
- Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.
- Visit customers and potential customers to evaluate needs and promote additional products and services.
- Maintain customer records and relationships with key contacts.
- Answer customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
- Perform packaging audits and work closely with BCI Design Team to create value‑added solutions.
- Travel regularly to BCI plants, customers’ facilities, and trade shows.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, listening, and written skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with customers and suppliers.
- Highly motivated, results‑oriented individual who works well independently and within a team.
- Problem‑solving aptitude with a consultative, personalized sales approach.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and knowledge of industry standards.
- Effective time management under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in sales/marketing.
- Minimum 3–5 years sales experience (corrugated packaging/manufacturing industry preferred).
- Must live in, or within a reasonable distance of, the assigned sales territory.
Base salary range: $75,000 – $170,000 annually.
Eligible for Buckeye Corrugated Commission and New Account Bonus programs, offering significant uncapped earning potential.
