Alexandra Grecco, a global bridal brand, launched in 2014, connects with brides through its classic and refined designs, both at its flagship in the heart of SoHo and through its retail partners worldwide.
The brand is seeking to fill a key senior director of sales position.
The sales director will have overall responsibility for the brand’s wholesale business, managing relationships with domestic and international stockists, monitoring sales results, setting appropriate sales goals, and managing the brand’s wholesale strategy. The role will also oversee retail sales at the brand’s SoHo flagship location, with oversight responsibility for the store’s managerial and stylist staff.
This is a role that combines both the strategic and operational. It demands an experienced leader with an ability to balance both immediate, pressing priorities with a need to focus and deliver on medium- and long-term goals. The right individual will have a keen view of the overall bridal market and be able to drive growth while managing the team supporting extensive day-to-day needs.
Job Description:- Overall responsibility for all aspects of wholesale relationship management, including tracking stock and bridal reorder sales, understanding and responding to the needs of individual retail partners, and implementing appropriate sales strategies to deliver enhanced same-store sales results.
- Managing communication with all existing relationships as well as potential new retail relationships.
- Working closely with production and design staff to ensure the timely delivery of stock and bridal orders.
- Overseeing sales-related data management, including ensuring purchase orders are confirmed and entered within agreed-upon time frames and collaborating on the development of appropriate sales-related data dashboards.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of existing wholesale relationships, sales trends at our retail partners.
- Developing and implementing, in partnership with brand senior leadership, top-line wholesale strategies to drive growth and identify appropriate potential partnerships.
- Developing a deep level of product knowledge and coordinating trainings with retail partners to drive product fluency and refine sales techniques, as needed.
- Leading seasonal market strategy and hosting seasonal market appointments from end-to-end, ensuring successful collection launches.
- Advising on pricing and market gap analysis, with a fluency in the competitive landscape.
- Keeping meticulous notes as it relates to feedback from our retailers and consumers.
- Overseeing trunk show coordination and sample loans.
- Directing retails operations at the brand’s flagship location through oversight of the retail manager and support staff
- Maintaining an expertise on flagship retail trends and results and understanding how such data can inform and drive sales at partner stockists.
- 7+ years of a combination of wholesale and retail bridal experience, including 3+ years of management experience.
- Have a deep love of bridal with an inherent understanding of the marketplace, trends, and business norms.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a facility with internal and external communication, both written and verbal
- Strongly developed organizational and time management skills as well as diligent follow-through.
- Experienced in populating sales spreadsheets in Excel with a keen sense of how to analyze retail trends and sales data. Must be tech-savvy and open to learning how to navigate new platforms.
- A high level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
Compensation for this role ranges from $95,000- $125,000 (annually), with a bonus based on individual and company performance. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
