About the RoleWe’re looking for an E-Commerce Merchandiser to join our growing Digital Commerce team. This person will play a key role in shaping our online assortment strategy—analyzing trends, researching competitors, and partnering with design, production, and sales teams to identify opportunities that drive growth across retail channels.
You’ll be the expert on what’s trending—shopping both online and in‑store to understand which brands, products, patterns, and constructions are resonating with consumers. You’ll then translate those insights into actionable merchandising plans that help Creative Home Ideas stay one step ahead of the market.
Key Responsibilities- Research and analyze online and in-store trends to identify emerging patterns, materials, colors, and price points that drive performance.
- Monitor competitor assortments and bestsellers across key retail partners (Amazon, Wayfair, Macy’s, Home Depot, Kohl’s, etc.).
- Partner with product development and design to propose new ideas that align with market opportunities and seasonal trends.
- Work with digital content and marketing teams to ensure product listings, images, and copy reflect key merchandising stories.
- Support assortment planning, line reviews, and go-to‑market presentations with clear data and visual storytelling.
- Review product performance analytics to recommend adjustments to pricing, placement, or product mix.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, planning, and sourcing teams to ensure on‑trend products meet customer and retailer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 2–4 years of merchandising, buying, or trend research experience (home, fashion, or consumer goods preferred).
- Strong sense of style, color, and pattern with a passion for home décor and consumer trends.
- Analytical mindset—comfortable using data and insights to make recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; highly organized and detail‑oriented.
- Experience with e‑commerce platforms or PIM tools (Salsify, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, etc.) is a plus.
