TRUDON, the renowned luxury candlemaker from France, has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Coordinator (Department Stores & E-Commerce) to join our team in New York City.

Founded in 1643, TRUDON is the oldest continuously operating candlemaker in the world and is formerly the official supplier of the French royal court. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship and high quality, TRUDON produces high-quality artisanal candles, diffusers, fine fragrances and bodycare that are cherished for their captivating scents and exquisite designs.

Salary Range

$31.00 – $34.00 per hour.

Location

This is a full-time, hybrid role with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role works 2 days remote and 3 days in our downtown Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities

As Sales Coordinator for the department stores and e-commerce side of our business, you will support all sales processes, including facilitating purchases, managing orders and invoices, and maintaining department store accounts across the Americas, as well as handling day-to-day e-commerce customer service inquiries for the TRUDON and Carrière Frères brand. Reporting to the Operations Manager for North America
, you will work closely with both the Sales and Operations teams, ensuring smooth communication across the organization.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the logistics and operations of a growing luxury brand while developing expertise in providing exceptional customer service in a high-end retail environment.

  • Process sales orders for department store accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain order entry accuracy for all department store orders, tracking, reporting and communicating any errors.
  • Ensure that department store orders are processed within 72 hours of receipt by coordinating effectively with sales teams, logistics, and our warehouse.
  • Reduce order-related chargebacks through improved compliance checks, accurate documentation, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Maintain and update sales records, reporting, and databases.
  • Prepare sales reports and presentations for the sales team and management.
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing sales materials.
Customer Service
  • Act as the first contact to respond to e-commerce customer inquiries via email and phone in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction; including sending replacements, maintaining Loyalty rewards, processing returns and exchanges, and identifying any product issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions with the manager.

From time to time and at its absolute discretion, TRUDON may require you to perform any other reasonable duties which are commensurate with your job title in order to meet its business needs.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • High level of organization, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role and/or customer service, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Experience in the luxury goods industry is a plus, along with a genuine passion for delivering a luxury client experience.
