Job Summary

Responsible for answering customer questions and selling products to meet their sales goals. Typically requires a few years of sales experience and training for a higher position. Also responsible for maintaining customer service as per company standards, generating sales, merchandising, cash register operations (POS), loss prevention, adherence to all company policies and store standards.

Responsibilities
  • Handle all aspects of Sales and Customer Service.
  • Enhance sales staff accomplishments by planning delivery of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions; mentor team members.
  • Assist existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of deals.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analysis).
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive development.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; generate and maximize sales by convincing clients to purchase the company’s products.
  • Maintain product knowledge and merchandise care information; stay updated on new items and store policies.
  • Develop and maintain client books; keep records of sales; follow customer service guidelines (greeting etiquette, returns, exchanges, transfers and loss prevention).
  • Greet, serve and advise clients with outstanding customer service; assist with mailings and phone inquiries; assist in floor moves, merchandising and display; assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; stock and restock shelves; tag merchandise as needed; keep the sales floor clean and orderly.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma (or GED) and either a degree in Retail, Fashion or related field or equivalent work experience and education. Five plus years’ high-end retail, boutique or sales related work experience.
  • Understand inventory, customer service experience and merchandising.
  • Perform all Cegid transactions proficiently (sales, returns, exchanges, CRM, reports, and open/close registers) in accordance with guidelines.
