Job OverviewAs a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will manage all aspects of a cosmetics line, including coaching a team of Beauty Advisors. You will engage with customers to learn about their beauty and style choices, enhance creativity through consultations and makeup application, and help your team reach sales targets through your passion for beauty.
Note: Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. What You Will Do- Inspire teamwork to reach sales goals and elevate the customer experience
- Create lasting connections with customers who are passionate about cosmetics, beauty, and fragrance
- Review and analyze business performance of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual sales results
- Develop and implement business-driving events to achieve department goals
- Supervise proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock
- Sell merchandise through effective customer service techniques and professional selling skills to reach personal productivity goals
- Meet and exceed your own and the company s sales goals
- Work with vendors to achieve the best business outcomes
- Manage vendor events and promotions, including scheduling and execution
- Maintain compliance with all hygiene standards
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities
- Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, providing guidance, support, and coaching to drive performance and engagement - Subject Matter Expertise:
Proficiency in vendor lines and beauty trends as a knowledgeable resource - Analytical

- Able to coach and provide feedback to Beauty Advisors to exceed daily goals

- Enthusiasm for the beauty industry with outstanding customer care skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while delivering results
- Flexible and able to use sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with regular attendance and punctuality
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking
- Frequent use of computers and handheld devices
- Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision
- Lifting and moving items up to 25 lbs
