The Role
We are seeking a senior sales leader to own and grow our U.S. mass retail business, with a particular focus on big-box retailers with a strong presence in the beauty and wellness categories.
This role can be structured as either a:
- Full-time leadership position, or
- Senior contract / fractional engagement (e.g. experienced Head of Sales operating on a retainer or hybrid basis)
The structure will depend on the candidate’s background, availability, and the best fit for the business. Regardless of structure, this role carries full ownership of U.S. mass retail performance.
Responsibilities U.S. Mass Retail Growth- Own and execute the sales strategy for U.S. mass retail
- Lead growth across distribution, assortment, pricing, and revenue
- Drive successful line reviews, launches, and expansion initiatives
- Act as the senior point of contact for key retailers, including Target and Walmart
- Lead buyer relationships, negotiations, and Joint Business Planning
- Manage promotional strategy, trade spend, and margin performance
- Partner with marketing on retail programs, packaging, and launches
- Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
- Ensure strong in-store and online execution
- Build, lead, or oversee the sales function (internal team and/or brokers)
- Provide senior input on retail trends, category dynamics, and competitive landscape
- 10+ years of experience in consumer products / CPG sales
- Direct experience selling into U.S. mass retailers, specifically:
Target (strongly preferred) and Walmart (strongly preferred) - Proven success leading:
Line reviews, National distribution growth, Retail negotiations and trade planning - Strong understanding of mass retail economics and execution
- Experience in beauty, personal care, or adjacent categories
- Experience scaling a growth-stage or mid-size brand
- Comfort working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Based in the US
