Job Title:
Sales Associate
The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency: upholds Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creates a positive first impression, builds ongoing customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaves a positive, lasting impression.
Responsibilities- SALES FLOOR:
Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions aligned with Company priorities; takes ownership of personal and store metrics and develops sales and clienteling strategies with the management team. - Sets short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals; uses survey results to improve areas of opportunity; represents Coach as a brand ambassador.
- Demonstrates Coach’s Selling and Service expectations; supports local sales strategies; drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, and relationships with customers.
- Creates a positive impression through attire aligned with Coach’s Guide to Style; communicates fashion awareness and knowledge of competition; provides in-depth product knowledge (features, benefits, offerings, value).
- Communicates current pricing and promotional strategy; uses cross-selling and product add-ons as appropriate; tailors approach to customer needs; attends to unique shopping needs of each customer.
- Manages multiple customers, follows up to influence/close sales, and contributes to overall store financial results.
- Leverages Coach’s tools and technology for relationship building and clienteling; promotes a team selling environment and collaborates with internal and external customers.
- Maintains calm, professional demeanor; remains adaptable to changing business and store needs; welcomes feedback and adjusts behavior accordingly.
- Completes daily tasks without compromising service or Coach standards; maintains store, backroom, cash wrap, and visual merchandising to Coach standards.
- Keeps selling floor clean and organized; adheres to retail policies and procedures including POS, Operations, and Asset Protection; replenishes inventory as needed.
- Supports store inventory processes by processing shipments, stocking shelves, and maintaining organization in stockroom and on the floor; assists at cash wrap for purchases, returns, and exchanges.
- Experience:
1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment; knowledge of fashion trends and competition preferred. - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. - Technical:
Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, Internet); ability to use walkie talkies; read price and product release sheets. - Physical:
Ability to work at a fast pace; communicate effectively with customers and team; maneuver on the sales floor and in the stock room; climb, bend, kneel; frequently lift up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds for product shipments/transfers. - Schedule:
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays with high retail traffic and peak days.

Base Pay Range: $15.00 to $19.50 hourly
