Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.
Job Description:
We’re looking for a Retail Sales Supervisor to help lead our sales floor, support our team, and ensure an exceptional experience for every customer who walks through our doors.
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Floor Leadership & Customer Experience
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and sales support.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and high-energy store environment.
- Assist customers with product knowledge, recommendations, and purchases.
- Resolve customer concerns and escalations professionally and effectively.
- Support and drive sales initiatives, promotions, and upselling strategies.
- Supervise and support Retail Associates during daily shifts.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new hires.
- Help foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
- Communicate expectations clearly and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Open and close the store as scheduled, including cash handling and shift reporting.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Oversee restocking, merchandising standards, and product presentation.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, inventory, and store policies.
- Assist with inventory counts, loss prevention, and stock accuracy.
- Support receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
- Assist with online order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure warehouse and back-of-house areas remain clean, safe, and organized.
- Help support in-store events, tournaments, and community gatherings.
- Act as a point of contact on the floor during busy events and peak hours.
- Represent Gamer’s Choice with professionalism and enthusiasm both in-store and online when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous retail or customer service experience in supervisory roles.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead by example and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working with POS systems and basic cash handling.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of trading card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, or Disney Lorcana.
- Experience supporting events, tournaments, or community-driven retail spaces.
Salary Range
: $25 - $35 per hour
