About the RoleWe are seeking an analytical and collaborative Merchandise and Replenishment Planning Manager to oversee inventory distribution, replenishment strategies, and seasonal allocation across retail and e-commerce channels. This role ensures that every store and channel has the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time, supporting sales growth, minimizing stock imbalances, and elevating customer experience.
This position works closely with the Director of Merchandise and Replenishment Planning to support seasonal buys, inventory forecasting, and commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor inventory across stores and e-commerce channels and lead replenishment proposal for core styles.
- Manage inventory parameters to balance stock levels and optimize full-price sell-through.
- Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations to execute replenishment plans aligned with commercial goals.
- Monitor sell-through, stock-to-sales ratios, and product performance to drive replenishment actions.
- Partner with Director of Planning in managing the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process, ensuring inventory investments align with sales, margin, and cash flow targets.
- Actualize and re-forecast open to buy based on sell-through, regional trends, and new product performance to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Merchandise Planning to support the execution of seasonal e-commerce and store merchandise buys.
- Provide store-level insights and sales trends to inform buy quantities and assortment depth.
- Ensure alignment between buy plans and store capacity, considering regional demand and product lifecycle.
- Assist in reconciling buy plans with replenishment and allocation strategies to optimize inventory flow post-buy.
- Maintain communication between Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Retail teams during buy preparation and delivery execution.
- Partner with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, and Store Operations to ensure alignment between planning, distribution, and financial goals.
- Work with the E-commerce and Digital teams to align online product availability and delivery timelines.
- Support cross-functional initiatives related to product flow, replenishment automation, and system enhancements.
- Manage allocation and replenishment systems (e.g. Toolio) to maintain accurate rules and parameters.
- Streamline allocation processes through data-driven automation and best practices.
- Support testing and implementation of planning system upgrades and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, or replenishment within retail or apparel, preferably luxury or premium brands.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and planning systems (Toolio, Shopify, Inventory Planner or similar).
- Solid understanding of store operations, product flow, and inventory management.
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location: This role is NYC-based and requires 4 days per week in-office.
