Responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products, to both adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This position advises and assists patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color. The pay range advertised for this position does not include additional compensation paid out through our spiff program.

• Verify order data entry, compare Rx to original Rx provided from the doctor, ensure all information entered in the system is accurate, and complete proper order filing procedures.
• Deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone, explaining all procedures under the exam fee with honesty and a friendly demeanor.
• Takes measurements, ensures correct frame selection for Rx power, reads prescriptions on the lensometer, and manages product readiness and advancement of order in the system.
• Strives to deliver sales and metric goals by educating patients on the benefits of available products and recommending those that improve visual needs.
• Engage with members in front of Optical during downtime.
• Adhere to privacy and confidential company policies (HIPAA) and support members with eyewear adjustments and repairs.
• Assist Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures, ensuring accurate funds collection and point-of-service payments.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

• Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, or experience in a big box wholesale, retail, or optical setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Open shift availability required for full‑time positions.
• At least 18 years of age.

• Spending most time moving on hard surfaces, with occasional bending, handling, pulling, reaching, or stooping.
• Frequently requires lifting objects up to 20 pounds, with some tasks exceeding 20 pounds with assistance.
• Indoor work with occasional exposure to temperature extremes, loud noises, and cleaning agents.
• Use of optical hand tools to adjust and repair members’ eyeglasses, including insertion and removal of nose pads and small screws.

Pay range: $34.00–$37.00. Actual salaries may vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
