Overview:
The Head of Commercial will be a key executive leader responsible for driving the company’s next phase of growth through strategic expansion of brick-and-mortar retail and continued scaling of the wholesale business. This role sits at the intersection of revenue, brand, and customer experience—owning how and where the brand shows up physically while ensuring disciplined, profitable growth across all commercial channels.
As a fast‑growing, digitally native, luxury comfort and lifestyle brand, the company is entering an exciting expansion phase. The Head of Commercial will translate brand vision into high‑performing physical retail locations and best‑in‑class wholesale partnerships, while building the infrastructure, team, and processes required for long‑term scale. This role partners closely with the Founder, CEO, and cross‑functional leaders across Brand, Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
ResponsibilitiesBrick‑and‑Mortar Retail Expansion
- Lead the end‑to‑end strategy and execution for physical retail expansion, including flagship stores, permanent locations, and selective pop‑ups.
- Own market selection, site strategy, and expansion roadmap aligned with brand and financial goals.
- Partner with Real Estate, Finance, and Design on site evaluation, lease negotiations, and store development.
- Define store operating models, staffing plans, and performance KPIs.
- Ensure a premium, immersive, and consistent customer experience that reflects the brand’s luxury comfort positioning.
- Leverage store performance insights to inform broader commercial, merchandising, and brand strategies.
- Develop and execute a disciplined wholesale growth strategy that balances brand elevation with revenue and margin targets.
- Identify, onboard, and manage strategic wholesale partners across domestic and international markets.
- Own key account relationships and commercial negotiations, including terms, assortments, pricing, and distribution strategy.
- Partner closely with Product, Planning, and Operations to support wholesale forecasting, inventory flow, and delivery.
- Maintain brand consistency and presentation standards across all wholesale environments.
- Own total commercial revenue across physical retail and wholesale channels.
- Build, lead, and scale a high‑performing commercial organization across retail and wholesale functions.
- Establish scalable processes, reporting, and KPIs to measure performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Partner with Marketing and Brand to align channel strategies with launches, storytelling, and customer acquisition initiatives.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to executive leadership on growth opportunities, risks, and market trends.
- 8–10+ years of experience in commercial, retail, or wholesale leadership roles within luxury, premium, or design‑driven consumer brands.
- Proven track record opening and scaling brick‑and‑mortar retail locations, ideally for a digitally native or omnichannel brand.
- Deep experience building and managing wholesale businesses and key account relationships.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience owning revenue targets, P&Ls, and expansion economics.
- Demonstrated ability to balance brand integrity with commercial performance.
- Experience building and leading teams in fast‑growth, entrepreneurial environments.
Salary $175,000–$200,000
