Location: New York

As the first major chef‑led catering company in New York, Cuisine Boulud New York partners with Dinex (Daniel Boulud) and Lifeworks to elevate catering to new levels of quality and service excellence.

The Event Server is a hybrid role that includes bartender and sanitation assistant duties. This role is a guest‑facing hospitality ambassador representing Cuisine Boulud New York, ensuring exceptional guest experience and maintaining high service and cleanliness standards during events of all sizes and complexity.

Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Time and Attendance
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts while following dress code guidelines and standards.
  • Sign in and out for each scheduled shift and shift break, exhibiting accurate use of time and attendance portals and procedures.
  • Abide by all Cuisine Boulud New York and Dinex guidelines.
Service and Guest Experience
  • Possess an understanding of proper steps of service and consistently execute them with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
  • Anticipate guest needs through observation and attentiveness.
  • Be flexible, willing and able to perform all duties related to food and beverage service, bussing and sanitation at our venues and events.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
Constant Command of Menu Information
  • Demonstrate command of all menus and menu changes (components, ingredients, preparation, allergens, substitutions).
  • Command knowledge of the beverage program.
Set Up, Break Down and Respect for Surroundings
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and proper appearance throughout all areas of event venues, both at managed venues and off‑premises events.
  • Reliably complete all assigned set‑up and break‑down tasks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, walk up and down stairs several times a shift, and stand for long periods of time.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in New York City catering and events preferred but not required.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of safe food and beverage handling protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction is mandatory.
