We're growing quickly, shaping the space in real time based on community feedback, and becoming a daily hangout for neighbors, creatives, and coffee/game lovers alike.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a full-time Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of 7 Spring and help us deliver an exceptional guest and team experience. This role is hands-on—you’ll be working barista shifts alongside your team, setting the tone for service, and making sure the café runs smoothly across all hours. You re someone who thrives in both a fast-paced and slow environment, can balance leadership with hospitality, and is excited about helping shape the future of a growing business.
This is not a clipboard-and-back-office position. It’s for someone who wants to be in the mix—on the floor, behind the bar, and present in both big-picture thinking and small daily details.
Responsibilities- Work barista shifts regularly while also managing operations
- Lead the team with a calm, friendly, and professional presence
- Create and maintain weekly schedules, assist with hiring and training
- Manage inventory, supply ordering, and vendor communication
- Be the main point of contact for owner(s) and communicate team needs clearly
- Ensure all opening/closing procedures and service standards are met
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and welcoming café space at all times
- Handle guest concerns with warmth and professionalism
- Help shape events, promotions, and community engagement
- Be knowledgeable (or open to learning) about backgammon to keep the space playful and inclusive
- 1–2+ years in café or hospitality management preferred
- Strong barista skills and confidence leading a team
- Excellent communicator, reliable, and highly organized
- Solutions-oriented and calm under pressure
- Passion for hospitality and creating a great team culture
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Experience with light alcohol service
- Backgammon interest is a plus—we’ll happily teach you the game
