## Barista / Counter Service Save this Listing---FRONT OF HOUSE - UPSCALE PATISSERIE Customer Service / Barista This is a full-time or part time on-site role for a Client Service Specialist & Barista with a proactive, dynamic approach. The role involves providing customers with a consistent, best-in-class experience from the moment they enter the shop to the moment they leave. Position include "French Pastry customer training", processing transactions, maintaining inventory levels at all times, and ensuring the consistent cleanliness and perfectly polished look of the shop at all times.

The Client Service Specialist / Counter Service will also be responsible for taking/filling special orders and managing the online orders fulfillment in a timely manner while ensuring a high touch presentation in a fully consistent manner reflective of a true French Pâtisserie luxury standards.

Duties & Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, serving pastries and drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Responsibilities include welcoming the customer, taking orders, educating customers on our pastries menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items etc.

To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge and be able to work various shifts.

The Front of House Staff will also be responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, as well as have a positive attitude, flexibility, and clear communication.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet customers as they enter with enthusiasm  Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients  Take orders while paying attention to details  Prepare beverages following recipes  Serve beverages and prepared food  Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)  Keep the bar area clean and dining area as well (cleanliness of the tables, banquettes)  Taking inventory  Comply with health and safety regulations  Communicate customer feedback to managers  Flexibility and ability to lift weights as related to counter service and inventory / reloads

SKILLS Knowledge of sanitation regulations  Flexibility to work various shifts  Ability to gauge customers’ preferences  Excellent communication skills  Be detail oriented, passionate about high quality, able to work in a fast pace environment and multi-task  Ability to problem solve, clearly communicate and maintain a positive attitude on a daily basis  Flexible working hours, including weekends  Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.

Qualifications  
• High touch Client Services, Customer Service, and Communication skills. Candidates must genuinely enjoy people contact - high interaction position.  
• Ability to maintain a consistently high level of customer satisfaction and avoid / resolve customer complaints  
• Experience using POS systems  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure while keeping it light-hearted and customer-focused, and enjoying the moment.  
Attention to detail and ability to stay organized is essential  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and French is a plus  
• Experience in the food or hospitality industry is not required for the truly motivated candidate, but a big plus  
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
