Sifted is hiring a Service Lead to support day-to-day leadership and key areas of the Sifted community operations. New York City, Sifted's newest market, is looking for an individual with a natural inclination towards leadership and responsibility to fill our Service Lead position.

In this role, you’ll play a critical role in our kitchen environment by aiding the City Manager with kitchen opening and shift operations, owning kitchen closing, and acting as a source of encouragement and support to the Host team.

• Leading the community team through kitchen opening, shift operations, and kitchen closing
• Leading + coordinating load in and load out
• Serving as the lead host for the breakfast or lunch shift
• Take service as necessary
• Ensuring the host feedback survey is complete each shift and communicating updates to the City Manager daily
• Coordinating with donation and compost pick up partners each day
• Presenting to the team as a source of leadership, encouragement, and support
• Has 1+ year experience in service/catering or brand ambassador industries, or an equivalent role
• Is operationally minded
• Is highly organized + resourceful

• Compensation : $26/hr
• 24 hours of paid time off/vacation per year; sick time; paid company holidays

Job Type: Part‑time

Shift: Weekdays

Weekly day range: Monday and Tuesday 8am - 4pm.

Eligibility : This position must maintain Serv Safe Food Handler card (company-paid)

Work environment : This is a position based both in a commercial kitchen and on‑site in client offices

Physical requirements : This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, the ability to stand for long periods of time, and the ability to bend, squat, and reach

The pay range for this role is:

26 - 26 USD per hour (New York City Kitchen)
