Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef located in New York, NY. The Sous Chef oversees day-to-day culinary operations, assists in menu planning, and maintains food quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, managing inventory, and collaborating with the Head Chef in the training and development of the culinary team. The Sous Chef plays a vital role in delivering consistently exceptional dining experiences to guests.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and knowledge of international cuisines
  • Skills in team leadership, staff training, and effective communication in a high-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, inventory management, and cost control
  • Ability to maintain exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail under time constraints
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role is required
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is an advantage
  • A passion for hospitality and creating outstanding guest experiences
