Beefbar is seeking a diligent and efficient Prep Cook to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain the high standards of quality expected in our upscale steakhouse.

• Prepare ingredients for line cooks, including washing, chopping, and portioning
• Assist in the preparation of sauces, marinades, and other base ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area and walk-in refrigerators
• Follow recipes and portion controls accurately
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to support smooth service operations
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fine dining setting
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Culinary degree or relevant professional training
• Experience in an upscale steakhouse or fine dining restaurant
• Knowledge of various meat cuts and their preparation
