Position SummaryThe Postgraduate Researcher (Technician
B) will conduct wet-lab research in cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, with a focus on how vascular regulation influences disease progression. The role involves working with mouse models and patient-derived samples to perform in vivo and ex vivo studies. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the researcher will carry out planned experiments, including mouse treatments, perfusion, and analysis of mouse and human tissues.
Additional responsibilities include imaging, computational analysis, and mouse colony management.
- 20% - Tissue imaging
- 20% - Mouse treatment and experiment including perfusion
- 20% - Mouse maintenance
- 15% - Data analysis
- 10% - Laboratory maintenance and organization
- 10% - Immunohistochemistry
- 5% - Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques preferred. One year of related experience preferred.
