This is a rapidly emerging neuroscience biotechnology company based in Long Island City, working at the forefront of regenerative brain medicine. The team is building next-generation therapies by engineering human stem-cell–derived neural tissue designed to repair and restore function in memory-related regions of the brain.
LocationLong Island City, NY — on-site, 5 days per week (lab-based role)
This hire will play a key role in building and refining experimental systems within a collaborative startup environment where processes are evolving and innovation is essential.
About the RoleThis is a hands‑on bench position ideal for a Scientist who enjoys experimental ownership and protocol development. You’ll work closely with leadership to culture and differentiate human stem cells into neuronal lineages, optimize workflows, and contribute to foundational platform development.
Key Responsibilities- Culture and differentiate human iPSCs into neuronal lineages
- Design and optimize differentiation protocols
- Develop neural culture systems
- Characterize cells using molecular and cellular assays
- Troubleshoot experiments and iterate as needed
- PhD in stem cell biology, neuroscience, developmental biology, bioengineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience with human iPSC culture and neuronal differentiation
- Experience with cell characterization methods (e.g., ICC, qPCR, or similar)
- Experience with 3D culture systems or tissue engineering
- Prior startup or industry research experience
- Base salary: $90,000–$120,000
