We specialize in crafting winning trial strategies for attorneys by applying psychology, innovative information design processes, proven techniques in jury and judge persuasion, and an acclaimed research methodology. As we expand our reach, we are seeking a well-organized Data Analyst to join our team.
The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in planning, executing, communicating, and analyzing data collected from research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analyses on quantitative and qualitative data using existing data workflows.
- Expand and improve upon existing research processes, methodologies, and analyses.
- Collaborate with other data analysts, research analysts, and litigation strategists.
- Report research findings and insights to support trial strategy.
Responsibilities are representative and not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree or Ph.D. from an accredited university in a quantitative social science field (e.g., Psychology, Economics, Political Science) with extensive training or experience in quantitative analyses, data science, and statistics.
- At least 2 years of experience collecting and analyzing survey or experimental data from human research participants.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cleaning data, conducting analyses, and reporting research results.
- Advanced expertise with Excel for cleaning, managing, visualizing, and analyzing data.
- Experience conducting analyses in R or Python, but ideally both.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, identify and solve problems with data, not just follow rote instructions.
- Able to clearly and simply explain statistical analyses and research findings to people with no background in either area.
- A confident, adaptable team player eager to learn through guidance from research and litigation teams.
- Capable of meeting strict deadlines and being flexible with working outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Preferences:
- At least 1-2 years of research experience working in an applied field.
- Knowledge of the psychology of human decision-making and the factors that influence it.
- Knowledge and application of Bayesian statistics and causal modeling procedures is highly desired.
- Experience with data classification and Natural Language Processing methods.
- Experience conducting research in legal contexts and jury analysis.
- Experience with SQL.
