The Vaccine Center within the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at NYU School of Medicine invites applications for tenure track positions at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor level in the following areas of vaccine research: preclinical, clinical, and public policy, including vaccine hesitancy. Work in novel vaccine platforms, high priority vaccine targets, microbial immunity, and/or vaccine immunology are desirable, among other vaccine research topics.
We seek applicants with M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or Ph.D. degrees and an exceptional record of achievement to join the newly formed (2018) NYU Langone Vaccine Center ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). We are particularly interested in candidates studying innate and/or adaptive immune responses to important agents of human infectious diseases.
New faculty members will be supported with generous start-up packages, excellent laboratory space, access to laboratory animal facilities (including ABSL3), and a wide range of state-of-the-art core laboratories providing services in genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, cell imaging, flow cytometry, and pathology. Successful candidates are expected to initiate and maintain a vigorous, independent, extramurally funded research program, and be eligible for membership in NIH-supported training programs that support pre-and post-doctoral trainees.
Candidates with an M.D. degree that are board-eligible or board-certified in Infectious Diseases will be given especially strong consideration.
