Location: New York
A real estate investment platform is seeking an Associate to join its New York team. The group invests across commercial real estate opportunities, partnering with sponsors and operators to execute acquisitions and structured transactions across core and value-oriented strategies.
This is an opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team where Associates take meaningful responsibility and gain broad exposure across the full deal lifecycle—from underwriting and diligence through investment committee and closing.
The OpportunityWe are looking for a motivated, analytically strong real estate investor to support underwriting and transaction execution. The Associate will play a hands-on role in building models, evaluating opportunities, coordinating diligence, and preparing investment committee materials, working closely with senior leadership and external partners.
The role is well suited for candidates who enjoy ownership, rigorous analysis, and fast-paced deal work.
Key Responsibilities- Support underwriting and evaluation of new acquisitions and investment opportunities
- Build and maintain detailed real estate models (DCF, returns, debt sizing, sensitivities)
- Analyze financing structures across senior loans, bridge lending, and structured solutions
- Conduct market and asset-level analysis across property types (multifamily, industrial, retail, select office)
- Coordinate due diligence with internal stakeholders and external advisors (legal, third-party, lenders, consultants)
- Prepare investment committee memos, presentations, and supporting analyses
- Support transaction execution through closing, including documentation and lender interaction
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and periodic performance updates as needed
- 2–5 years of experience in real estate private equity, a real estate debt fund, REIB, CMBS / CRE structured products, or real estate capital markets
- Strong financial modeling skills with proven experience underwriting CRE transactions
- Comfort with IC memo writing and presenting clear investment rationale
- Solid understanding of debt structures and the credit side of real estate investing
- High attention to detail, strong judgment, and the ability to operate in a lean team
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA / CFA is a plus but not required
- High-responsibility seat with direct exposure to senior decision-makers
