AFFORDABLE HOUSING SPECIALIST – Brooklyn, NY (1515 Surf Ave)

Join LCOR in the dynamic and growing Affordable Housing team in Brooklyn (Coney Island). The Affordable Housing Specialist will manage all aspects of affordable housing compliance, leasing, and tenant relations for NYC properties.

• Leasing, Tenant Relations & Support – Manage leasing activities for affordable units, assist lottery process, provide customer service, conduct move‑in/out inspections.
• Property Management & Operations – Coordinate maintenance, monitor building operations, collect rent, prepare financial and occupancy reports, enforce lease agreements.
• Program & Compliance Management – Ensure compliance with HPD, NYCHA, HDC, DHCR, CityFHEPS, HASA, Section 8; maintain audit records; submit required reports.
• Communication & Collaboration – Act as liaison between tenants, city agencies, property managers, and internal teams; support community engagement and legal escalation.

• 2+ years of experience in affordable housing, property management or compliance in NYC.
• Strong familiarity with NYC housing programs: HPD, NYCHA, HDC, DHCR, CityFHEPS, HASA, and Section 8.
• Proficiency with property‑management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Certification in affordable housing compliance (e.g., TCS, COS).
• Fluent in Russian and/or Spanish.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and NYC housing regulations.

Hourly rate: $25–$32 / hr.
