We are looking for a prudent assistant property manager to join our Multi-Family / Mixed-Use Property Management Team in NYC, responsible for supervising, controlling and planning the day-to-day BM PM operations. The duties include administrative, financial, vendor management tasks as well as tenant and owner relations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the successful day-to-day operation of the properties.
- Manage tenant relations, coordinate, oversee, attend as needed and document tenant maintenance/repair requests and turn-overs with management, staff, superintendents, and contractors.
- Manage owner relations as a liaison between owners and 3rd party property managers and agents, and as a point of contact for a portfolio.
- Be able to address and communicate property-related matters, with exceptional communication and skills to meet with tenants, owners, staff, vendors and visitors.
- Assist related internal divisions with various property-related actions including pre- and post-closing account setups, leasing, preparation of various reports and handling property-related matters.
- Review and analyze various property-related documents including invoices, bids, insurance documents, monthly financials statements, variance reports, rent rolls, and budgets.
- Be knowledgeable in or willing to learn all local, state, and federal regulations governing the property including landlord/tenant regulations.
- Be available after-hours for emergencies. (Occasional)
- New York State Real Estate Salesperson License (if not licensed must be licensed within the first 3 months)
- Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software, including MS Office, Appfolio and web-based cloud platforms
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese
- Be able to work both independently and with a team.
- Be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Domestic and International Business Trip possible (rare)
