About the Role

We’re hiring a QC Specialist to support product testing, regulatory compliance, and factory quality standards for our home textile programs.

In this role, you’ll coordinate lab testing, track compliance documentation (CPSC, ASTM, retailer requirements), assist with GCCs/CPCs, and help monitor factory audits and corrective actions. You will also review samples, labeling, and packaging to ensure products meet approved specifications.

In this role, you will:
Product Testing & Regulatory Compliance Management
  • Maintain and monitor comprehensive production testing logs to ensure all required testing is conducted in accordance with retailer, federal, and state regulations.
  • Prepare and submit Testing Request Forms (TRFs) for laboratory testing and product inspections.
  • Coordinate with third-party laboratories (e.g., Bureau Veritas, Intertek, SGS) to obtain testing quotations, confirm protocols, and track report status.
  • Review test reports to verify compliance with applicable standards (CPSC, ASTM, retailer-specific requirements, flammability, chemical restrictions, performance testing, etc.).
  • Prepare and issue General Certificates of Conformity (GCCs) and Children’s Product Certificates (CPCs) as required.
  • Maintain detailed records of testing reports, inspection reports, regulatory certificates, and audit documentation.
  • Manage testing and inspection of chargeback logs and track vendor accountability.
Factory Compliance & Audit Oversight
  • Maintain the factory compliance matrix to ensure all audits (social, technical, security, sustainability) remain current and meet retailer requirements.
  • Initiate new factory approvals and audit requests within retailer systems (e.g., Retail Link or other retailer compliance portals).
  • Submit audit reports and corrective action plans (CAPs) to retailers and licensors as required.
  • Proactively follow up with factories on audit renewals, corrective action implementation, and compliance documentation updates.
  • Identify recurring compliance risks and collaborate with factories and overseas teams to drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Assurance & Product Evaluation
  • Review and evaluate lab dip submissions, shade bands, and bulk color approvals to ensure adherence to approved standards.
  • Inspect retailer samples, quality comparison samples, and pre-production submissions to verify compliance with approved specifications.
  • Review packaging, instruction manuals, sewn-in care labels, law labels, and product labeling to ensure alignment with regulatory and retailer requirements.
  • Monitor recurring quality concerns and work cross-functionally to address root causes and implement corrective action plans.
  • Support quality risk assessments for new programs and product launches.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
  • Attend industry compliance webinars and regulatory updates to remain current on evolving standards.
  • Support internal quality initiatives and process improvements.
  • Contribute to strengthening testing protocols, compliance systems, and documentation accuracy.
On Your Resume:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Textiles, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, or related field).
  • 2–4 years' experience in home textiles quality, product testing, or regulatory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of textile testing standards (AATCC, ASTM, CPSC regulations, retailer protocols).
  • Experience coordinating with third-party laboratories and overseas factories.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and compliance documentation systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
