Location: New York

Inspect and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with structural drawings, contract documents, approved submittals, and applicable codes and standards.

Conduct field inspections to verify proper use of materials, equipment, and workmanship during all phases of construction.

Test and measure construction materials to confirm adherence to quality requirements.

Identify, document, and report all work, and collaborate with the construction team to resolve issues.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

Perform final inspections prior to project handover to verify all work meets quality standards.

Quality Assurance (QA)

Develop and implement a comprehensive QA program, including quality plans, checklists, and protocols for construction sites.

Review project specifications, designs, and submittals to ensure they align with quality standards and regulations.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and trade partners to ensure QA processes are understood and followed.

Visit trade partners' facilities to inspect key specialty materials before shipping.

Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to quality assurance.

Train employees on QA/QC procedures and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in this field or related field
Must be able to get SWAC and SIDA and pass typical background check
Proven experience in quality control and/or quality assurance in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes (e.g., OSHA, ISO, ASTM, etc.).
Certification in QA/QC processes is a plus (e.g., ASQ, CQE, or similar).
Proficiency in construction management software and QA tools.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
