As Quality Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, supervising and monitoring quality assurance activities across multiple projects within a district. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality.

Join our $400M high‑impact transit infrastructure initiative, Rockaway Line Resiliency and Rehabilitation, that’s shaping the future of New York's transportation system. This dynamic project encompasses the design and construction of critical viaduct repairs at the Hammels Wye Campus and along both the East and West Branches of the Rockaway Line. It also includes the design and installation of advanced flood mitigation systems, ensuring long‑term resilience against extreme weather.

At Beach 105th Street Station, we’re delivering major upgrades, including a new signal tower, track crossover, and comprehensive traction‑power, signal, and utility improvements. The project also involves the replacement of key electrical and mechanical components on the iconic South Channel Bridge.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Development, participation in the implementation, and monitoring of the Quality Management Plan (QMP)
  • Preparing and coordinating the preparation of the Quality Plan and other documents for the Quality System according to contract requirements, keeping them appropriately updated
  • Providing methods to implement the Quality Plan, including required resources
  • Supervising all resources needed to implement quality processes and procedures, including staff, accredited laboratories and inspectors, audits, and the nonconformance registry
  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of Quality Tests and Inspection and Checklists
  • Coordinating production and inspection with Construction Management and engaging production teams to be proactive, focusing on prevention of deficiencies and rework
  • Organizing all resources required to implement the quality plan, including staff, accredited laboratories, and inspectors
  • Updating quality files as required
  • Providing quality training as required
  • Supervising equipment and staff assigned to Construction Quality and ensuring they are capable of performing their tasks and documenting them
  • Working with and assisting staff responsible for purchasing on quality‑related aspects in accordance with the Quality Management Plan
  • Working with internal auditors to perform audits
  • Analyzing corrective and preventive actions and identifying, recording, and tracking any incidents related to the Quality Management System Preparing monthly and semi‑annual reports with all required data and records
  • Supervising and controlling Construction Procedures in accordance with RFD documentation
  • Coordinating the Punch List Walk‑Through and notifying the Engineer and/or MTA
  • Initiating Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma preferred.
  • 5+ year related heavy civil experience, preferably in rail/transit projects
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with the MTA on rail or transit‑related projects
  • Experience or training in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance preferred.
  • Proven subject matter expert in testing, inspection processes and construction procedures.
  • Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring ability and ownership.

    Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow in environmental monitoring, technical writing and documentation.
