YourPrimary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for dogs, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in a dog's behavior, mood, or physical condition.
- Manage scheduling and administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate health records for each dog.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pet owners through clear communication and excellent customer service.
- Handle high-pressure situations with patience and tact.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, ensuring smooth operations and optimal dog care.
- Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities as required by the day-to-day operations.
- Ensure a clean and hygienic environment for both the dogs and staff.
- Love for Animals: A genuine affection for dogs and joy in working with them.
- Patience & Self-Control: Handling unpredictability and challenges from dogs and clients with calmness.
- Empathy: Understand the emotions and needs of both dogs and their owners.
- Attentiveness: Spot changes in dog behavior or health.
- Good Communication: Clearly convey information to all stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Address issues swiftly, whether scheduling or dog-related.
- Reliability & Strong Work Ethic: Offer consistency, punctuality, and a dependable service.
- Adaptability: Adjust to varied roles, changing schedules, and diverse work scenarios.
- Physical Requirements: This is an active, physical job that requires standing, walking, and moving for extended periods. You will occasionally need to lift and carry heavy items or pups and work in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment.
Experience:
- Dog Daycare Worker, Kennel Assistant, Animal Shelter Volunteer:
For hands-on experience with dog care, behavior, and administrative tasks. - Hotel Front Desk Agent:
For experience in multitasking, scheduling, and customer service. - Pet Sitter, Dog Trainer, Dog Walker:
Demonstrating direct pet care and understanding of individual pet needs. - Restaurant Server or Manager:
For handling high-pressure situations and multitasking. - Nanny or Child Care Worker:
Highlighting patience and responsibility for the well-being of those under supervision. - Medical Receptionist:
For dealing with records, understanding medical terminology, and maintaining confidentiality. - Pet Groomer:
Showcasing hands-on experience and comfort with handling different breeds.
