👶 Clinical Nurse Manager – Maternity Services

A well-established acute care hospital in Westchester County is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for Maternity Services to provide 24/7 leadership oversight for a dynamic maternal-child health unit.

This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for nursing workforce management, patient experience, quality outcomes, and regulatory readiness. The Nurse Manager partners closely with senior nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to drive excellence in clinical care, safety, and culture.

🌟 What You’ll Lead Clinical & Operational Oversight
  • 24/7 accountability for nursing practice and patient care delivery
  • Oversight of RNs, Nursing Assistants, OB Surgical Techs, PCTs, and support staff
  • Staffing strategy, workforce planning, and performance management
Quality & Safety
  • Monitor and improve key indicators including:
  • Infection prevention (CAUTI, CLABSI)
  • Falls, medication safety, HACs
  • Breastfeeding rates
  • Safe reduction of low-risk C-sections
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintain continuous Joint Commission and regulatory readiness
  • Own and improve nursing-driven patient satisfaction outcomes
  • Implement bedside shift reporting, rounding standards, and service recovery
Leadership & Culture
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, corrective action, and retention strategies
  • Promote shared governance and professional nursing practice
  • Support Magnet®/Pathway to Excellence® readiness
  • Foster accountability, engagement, and psychological safety
✅ What We’re Looking For
  • Active NY RN license
  • BSN required; MSN preferred (or enrollment within 1 year)
  • 3+ years progressive clinical leadership experience in acute care
  • Strong background in maternal-child health preferred
  • Proven experience in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and workforce leadership
  • Confident, decisive leader with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
