Shadow Nurse PNStudents

Description

The McGuire Group and Absolut Care Nurse Shadow position provides nursing students in their PN2 semester with paid learning. Shadowing allows a student to follow a licensed nurse as they perform day-to-day tasks, observe and learn from a registered nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or other healthcare professionals in a clinical environment. Shadowing is designed to learn as much as possible without interfering with the nurse's daily tasks.

Rate: $20.00/hour

• Observe and shadow assigned LPN or RN in their daily duties
• Observe patient status and responses; document and report observations to the preceptor
• Review temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect variances from normal and report observations to the preceptor
• Obtain supplies as requested

Education: Minimum:
Enrolled in PN2 semester in a NYS licensed LPN program

Experience: Minimum:
Currently enrolled in PN2 and in good standing

Licensure: N/A
